Product overview

Fireclay brick refers to alumina silicate products with Al2O3 content of 30%-48%. Fireclay brick belongs to weakly acidic refractory material, which can resist the erosion of acidic slag and acidic gas, but has a poor resistance to alkaline materials. Fireclay brick has good thermal shock stability and resistance to hot and cold.


Fireclay bricks are divided into ordinary fireclay bricks, low creep fireclay bricks, low porosity fireclay bricks and large fireclay bottom bricks for glass kiln .


The main crystal phase of fireclay brick is mullite, it has good high temperature performance, and a greater adaptability to the use of conditions, so it is widely used in blast furnace, hot blast furnace, ladle lining and cast steel, cupola, heating furnace, glass melting furnace, boiler and coke oven and other thermal equipment.

Low creep fireclay brick is a kind of high quality fireclay brick, which has better volume stability at high temperature, creep property and abrasion resistance, as well as good thermal shock resistance and erosion resistance. The raw materials of low creep fireclay bricks have dense structure, high purity and few impurities. It always adopts the special grade flint clay as its aggregate, and adding some synthetic mullite and others. Low creep fireclay bricks are generally fired at about 1400 degrees.
Low porosity fireclay brick is also called dense fireclay brick, which is made by changing the manufacture process on the basis of the manufacturing process of the fireclay brick. It generally uses the the special grade flint clay with good quality, high density, low content of impurities as the main raw material, add a small amount of high bauxite clinker powder with Al2O3 content between 55% and 75% or other mixer of expansion raw materials.The aluminum content of low porosity fireclay brick is higher than that of ordinary fireclay brick.
Fireclay bottom brick is used in the tin bath bottom of float glass kiln. His quality is the key to the normal operation of tin tank. The single weight of this kind of fireclay brick is more than 50KG, generally it is made by vibration casting molding production. Because of the brick's low permeability and hydrogen diffusivity, it can avoid the glass defect caused by bubble caused by the bottom of the tin tank, so as to improve the yield of the glass.


According to the application of fireclay brick, it is mainly divided into fireclay brick for blast furnace, hot blast furnace and glass furnace.


Because the softening temperature under load of fireclay brick is low, and it will shrink under high temperature, and its thermal conductivity and mechanical strength is lower than that of silica brick, so the fireclay brick can only be used in non important parts of furnace, such as sealing wall of regenerator, lining brick of flue and checker brick of regenerator, lining brick of furnace door, roof and riser.


Character
